We have had the pleasure of working on the first public house to open on King’s Road in Chelsea in over 100 years. The Trafalgar is perfectly designed to welcome visitors while also serving as a home from home for locals, bringing a true sense of community and the feel of a proper British pub back to this iconic street.
Named after one of Britain’s most decisive victories, The Trafalgar spans two floors. Guests enter through the lobby into the Old Banking Hall, where five-metre-high aged bronze ceilings, four chandeliers and bespoke wallpaper framed by original festoon plasterwork set the tone. Vintage art, original paperwork and oversized lamps create an elegant and timeless atmosphere, while restored Georgian windows and ornate plasterwork blend seamlessly with a warm new interior featuring an impressive bar, intimate booths, leather dining chairs and statement chandeliers.
Next to the Old Banking Hall, accessed through two glazed, panelled archways, is the Dining Room, which seats up to 45 guests. Rich burgundy walls and a curated mix of vintage, contemporary and bespoke artwork and tapestries create an intimate feel. Velvet tasselled wall lights, empire chandeliers, dark wooden tables and tan leather banquette seating come together to form a characterful and welcoming space.
Downstairs, The Havannah Room is dedicated to live entertainment and private parties, in keeping with King’s Road’s vibrant history. It features a first-class sound system, a velvet-draped stage, an antique mirrored ceiling and a hidden bar. Ideal for private celebrations, it also hosts events such as burlesque, comedy nights and the classic pub quiz.
It has been a pleasure to work with our friends at Three Cheers once again to deliver such a stunning result. Stunning in size, design and experience, this is a venue that will have you coming back for more.
