The architecture and sculptures over the front door already made The Lost & Found one of Birmingham’s best entrances. The previously 177 cover venue now seats 222 people - thanks to a stunning new upstairs bar area. A new spiral staircase replaces the old bar and leads to the stylish new mezzanine bar. We installed a large planting scheme including a feature pergola hanging over the walls and corridors.
Concorde BGW added a new internal template to the existing site moving the ground floor bar to the side of the building, ensuring more space for drinkers. There is also a new coffee bar and open-style kitchen. The venue has been furnished with an eclectic mix of bespoke furniture including lounge chairs, extravagant curtains, chesterfield sofas and a mix of unusual bric-a-brac.
The Lost and Found brand is inspired by the Victorian period and has UK branches in Knutsford and Leeds. The Birmingham site is themed around fictional Victorian explorer and professor, Hettie. G. Watson who travelled the world in search of botanicals, capturing samples of plants and flowers, which she kept hidden in her secret Birmingham hideaway.
