A selection of rustic features such as mirrors and chalkboard frames combined with an eclectic mix of bric-a-brac and bespoke artwork such as photos of Hatfield create a more inviting space.
The bar was refurbished and redecorated to create a light, open feel while still maintaining a traditional pub atmosphere. New Karndean timber LVT floor has been laid in some areas around the bar and new carpets in others. The back bar fitting has been remerchandised and a new cooler added. An area of fixed seating to the side of the bar was cut back to create a new waiter/coffee station.
The toilets were fully refinished to Punch template standards. New cubicles, sanitaryware, flooring, lighting and decorations have completely transformed their facilities.
A major refurbishment to the first floor has converted disused bedrooms and bathroom into a function room with ample seating and a large TV. A new bottle bar was created by remodelling the existing WC room and the area was decorated throughout.
The Bay Horse Inn can continue to be a traditional cosy pub with a tap room, it provides hearty pub lunches and now has a bookable function room.
