As an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS) at A. Hull Electrical Ltd, you will be pivotal in overseeing electrical installations, inspections, and maintenance activities. You will be responsible for ensuring that our electrical services meet the highest safety and compliance standards.

 

 

General Responsibilities:



 

  • You will ensure electrical safety and compliance within our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing, validating, and approving electrical certifications completed by other electricians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Performing pre-commencement surveys, creating material requests, arranging installation bookings with residents, reviewing asbestos surveys, and booking asbestos scrapes and removals.
  • Performing work-in-progress inspections and conducting site visits with electricians.
  • Conducting post-inspections on completed works, working closely with electricians to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests, addressing electrical repairs, maintenance, and breakdowns efficiently and safely.
  • Performing ongoing electrical testing, including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
  • Managing and supervising electrical rewires and maintenance.
  • PAT Testing Experience
  • PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance)

  • Motivating and leading the team to achieve operational targets, uphold standards, and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating a track record of leading teams to achieve goals, deliver exceptional customer satisfaction, and meet financial objectives, especially in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding the commercial objectives of A. Hull Electrical Ltd and key performance indicators.
  • Displaying awareness of data protection and information security requirements.
  • Possessing knowledge and understanding of safety best practices and duty of care obligations.
  • Exhibiting strong literacy and numeracy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Proven experience working in a social housing or similar environment with an understanding of planned responsive and void work.
  • Proficiency in using computers for documentation and reporting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, especially in customer-facing situations.
  • Possession of a valid UK Driving licence.
  • Analysing performance data to identify trends and address underperformance or areas for improvement.
  • Efficiently managing schedules, shifts, and work patterns.
  • Undertaking Duty Manager responsibilities, including out-of-hours support when required.



Safety, Compliance & Conduct:



  • Providing coaching and guidance to our team on safety and quality control, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and legislation.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing safety issues, prioritising the well-being of employees, customers, and their property.
  • Managing conduct, operational, and regulatory risks, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Previous experience working in a social housing environment and a solid understanding of planned responsive and void work.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, especially in customer-facing situations.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

 

 

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • Inspection and testing (2391 or 2391-52).
  • Amendment 2 of the 18th edition (BS 7671:2018+A2:2022).
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • Maintain a Gold Electrotechnical Certification Scheme card (ECS).
  • Recent experience in an EQS position (within the last 6-12 months).

 

 

This is a full-time position working 40hrs, Monday-Friday, with regular overtime opportunities available. Although you will be based from the A Hull office in Leicester, you will be expected to travel to various sites. The salary is from £45,000 and is negotiable depending on experience.
